Athlone

Well done to all Olympians who participated at Athlone. Members of Olympia T C raced over the weekend in the European Standard & Sprint distance championships plus Athlone Triathlon Standard & Sprint distance races. From a personal point it was a fantastic experience and a hugh congratulations to the organisers for bringing such an event to Ireland.

I had a quick glance over results that are posted. A big well done to Trudy Brown who achieved 3rd place in her age-group in the European Standard Distance Championships. We also had podium finishes in Athlone Sprint Distance races by Neville & Emma Bamfort... apologies if I've left other winners out but I am literally running out the door on my way to airport to catch a plane to Spain .
